Hi,
My name is David Gray and Music Express is my business. Some people think that DJing a wedding is just turning on a couple of lights and playing some loud music. NOT. Actually the DJ is probably the most important person at the reception, except of course, the Bride and Groom. A good DJ really runs the show and keeps things moving for the entire reception. Yes, the Bride and Groom are in charge and the DJ should always consult with the Bride and Groom before hand as to how the evening should be planned out, but a good DJ should make sure things are moving along so the party doesn't drag, and things are kept on schedule. The DJ should keep the photographers abreast as to when the cake cutting will take place, the bouquet and garter toss, the Bride and Grooms' first dance as well as all the other special dances. A good DJ also needs to keep an eye on who is dancing and who is just sitting around looking bored. If anyone is sitting too long they will usually get bored and leave and that can drain the energy out of the party in a hurry. A good DJ will play a variety of music to keep everyone happy, and adapt the music to the crowd. The crowd changes and usually gets quite a bit younger as the night progresses. So it's important to play the music that will keep the dance floor full. Every crowd is different and sometimes the music that worked at the last wedding, won't work for the next one. And, remember, it's the Bride and Grooms big day, so even though the DJ has alot of things to keep track of, he should never be the focal point of the evening. So if all of this sounds good to you then give me a call and I guarantee you won't be disappointed with our service and we will do our absolute best to make sure everyone at your reception has a great time! It's best to call at least 8-12 months in advance to reserve you date. Our datebook fills up very quickly. We look forward to helping you make your dream wedding just exactly that. Your Dream Come True!
